if we would just listen

it really boggles my mind when I hear about someone who is really messing their life up royally...making bad choices...listening to the wrong advice...pretty much not listening to the instruction or rebuke of those who love them...now... none of us like being told what to do...none of us like to admit our own failures...but to do it to our destruction...I don't understand...why would anyone listen to and make life altering decisions from the advice of someone they just met...rather than someone who has their best interest at heart...I know, I know you would never do that...you would never blow off the rebuke of a friend and listen to advice from a TV personality, or a newly formed "friendship"...no, not you or me...you know what?... we do it ever week...we go and listen to a man of God proclaim the good news and give us warnings from the scriptures and yet we will be driven along by fad or culture rather than by the word of God...God provided a way for us to live lives that can be honoring to Him...if we would just listen...relax God is in control!
