you never know what a day may bring...the thing is you never know what 365 days will bring...think back to last year...now stop and reflect on all that has transpired since 365 days ago...OK, times up, I don't have all night...if we were honest with ourselves there were things that happened that we weren't proud of...words said that should have never been said...our eyes looked upon things we should not have...thoughts that should have never entered our minds, did...opportunities missed...blessings missed...but you know what God doesn't love us because we are good, he loves us...........because he's God...2008 was full of challenges...financial, relational, health...but you know as I have said before that which gives us pain only makes us stronger...I am looking forward to 2009...the other night my family and I went to Youngstown Metro...a up and coming church in downtown Youngstown...it is housed in an old lutheran church and they have really made it an amazing place to worship...my two son's go there every Sunday...they hold their gathering at 6 pm every Sunday...well, the pastor was teaching on Colossians 3 and he did an excellant job...especially with this verse...and I believe it should be a verse that we take a hold of and live out daily in 2009..."let the Peace of God rule in your hearts"...as we go through our days we react to many circumstances...and we react from what is happening in side of us...those wrong thoughts...the wrong words...the missed blessings...from worry, anger, mistrust...now back to the verse...Peace...not an emotion or a mindset...His Peace...God is not at war with you...whew...to rule...referee, call the shots...OK...to make this short...in 2009 live from the understanding that God is not at war with you and let that reality call the shots on how you live...y'all, we don't know what a day may bring...but we do know that in Him all things are possible...relax God is in control!
