being thankful

you know the sayings...the glass is half full not half empty...you can always make lemonade with the lemons handed to you...look on the bright side...being thankful is a choice...you can either get bitter or better...seems as if it is up to us if we are thankful or not...we can look at the rain as messing up a sunny day or giving all the plants a drink...good or bad...thankful or unthankful...it is intersting as I was studying for this past Sunday's worship time, I learned that in the instructions that God gave to the Isrealites...the ones He gave to teach them how to be the people of God...that out of all the sacrifice offering that they had to observe...the thanks offering was the only one that was not regularly scheduled...the Lord left it up to them as to when they would offer it...Leviticus 22:29 says that it was of their own free will...so that it would be spontaneous...not planned...from a heart that was truly thankful...so even from the beginning we had a choice...thankful...unthankful...empty halfempty...it is our choice...I don't know about you but I know that God is good...and I am going to choose to be thankful...whether the glass is half empty or half full...relax God is in control!
