the other side of the world
greetings from the other side of the world...we are some 10,000 miles away from our home Greenville, PA...at least that is how many miles we flew in the air to get here...is so many things that Laura and I have experienced it will take weeks to process...but I can tell you one thing people anywhere are pretty much the same...we all crave knowing that we matter...that there is actually some purpose to being a live...and that in that purpose we are loved...that someone actually takes time to listen and care about them...their likes, their dislikes, their dreams, their fears...as we have met many people here it becomes clear to who actually desires to even know you...if they are checking their watch every second...it is pretty much an indication that they would rather be somewhere else than there with you...now don't get me wrong, all the people we have met have been nice...it is just funny that people even though they may have different colored skin or even a different language...we are all the same...creatures in need of acceptance...in need of purpose...in need of love...I don't know how you are towards people...I hope you listen when they talk...I hope you look them in the eyes and let them know you care...Jesus was that way...ask the woman at the well or the woman caught in adultry...or Zacheus...or...I am thankful that Jesus loves me this I know and He isn't checking His watch when I with Him...thank you for follwoing us on this journey...leaving for Vietnam in the morning your Thursday evening so please pray that we will listen and love as Jesus did...
