divine appointments

going into this trip I really was a little nervous...ok, to be honest a lot nervous...as I said I am a little bit of a control freak...never had I spent 16 hrs on a plane...maybe four but not 16...what if I had to use the bathroom...what if I get claustrophobic...couldn't do a 15 minute MRI how in the world would I be in an in closed space for that long...well I believe that because of all the people praying for us that it was no problem...didn't even seem like we were really in a plane 35,000 ft in the air...for 16 hrs straight...along with the prayers it always helps to sit next to someone who has done it before...his name was George...he was from Boston, but he now lives in Thailand...interesting, that is exactly what I needed...George teaches English...he is also a musician...we talked about a lot of things and I was thankful for it...there is something about the unknown...if you are willing to take the risk...step out and let God be God...it is always nice to have those who love you praying for you...it is also good to look for those who have done it before...all you have to do is watch them and follow their lead...well we landed in Singapore at 8 pm on Sept. 8...still in the unknown...who will be there to pick us up...what if they don't show up...well Lisa Ho the wife of David Ho who is the kind man who made this trip possible was there with our host Esther Chua...what a welcome site to see a face that we knew...they drove us around the city, it looked really nice even through sleep deprived eyes...after we got to their home we sat down to a really nice meal and had the most awesome get aquainted conversation...I think being in a small town can really get us into tunnel vision and not really realize what a big place this world is and what amazing things God is doing all over...His Spirit is defintely alive and well in Singapore and Laura and I are very blessed to be a witness of it...as we were getting ready to go to sleep Esther made this statement..."I believe this has been a divine appointment"...imagine if I would have been to scared to get in a plane...I would have missed it...relax God is in control!
