missing God

never in Scripture did Jesus walk past someone in need and not stop because He was in a hurrry to get to the synagogue...I have done that...I am not proud of it...I am just admitting it...according to Acts two, the gathering of those who followed Jesus had a certain ring to it...unity, needs being met, acknowledgement of His Lordship, commitment...all things that benefited others...today...as long as my needs are met by the church, that is where I want to be...as soon as that ceases I am out of there...don't invade my space...don't ask for more than I have...I, I, I...sorry my finger got stuck...what do you think would happen in our midst if we all came together after we had spent time with God asking Him "what can I do for you today?"...instead of "how is God going to bless me today?"...let's try something, let's open our hearts and minds to not missing God...the God who sacrificed His Only Son for you and I...stopping our busy lives to actually allow ourselves to be used of Him for someone else...relax God is in control!
